Wasabi portion is not evenly spread
It’s a status symbol, just like designer clothes or flashy cars, you have it cause you can afford it. Not cause it’s necessarily the best.
I tried the Nobu in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Went to nobu 57 in nyc this summer, bill was 2,500, definitely a restaurant you go to taste at, not to be filled up.
This place sucks, don’t try it. It’s Asian fusion and most of the menu taste similar to each other so you won’t get any variety. You’ll be spending a lot and in the end you’ll leave hungry because of how little the portion are. You’ll have more bang for your buck at a steak house.
Japanese food just make it pretty to eat.
The cooking skill is so simple and nothing compare to other east asian foods.

Excellent food, totally overpriced (but still excellent quality), snobby restaurant employees at Malibu Nobu (most of them probably live in the valley!), it was worth going ONCE, never again. Spent $400.00 for two for lunch, left hungry! After Nobu we went to In-N-Out Calabasas!
