She is in the water tank
Look, I'm an atheist and realistic guy, I don't believe any paranormal theories, I believe Elisa died as a result of an accident triggered by her bipolar delusions… but there are too much coincidences here.
– There's a 2002 Japanese horror/drama movie named "Honogurai mizu no soko kara". It's about a depressed little girl who drowned accidentally in a water tank on the rooftop of an old apartment. Her spirit haunts the building and has the ability to pour dirty water from the taps of this apartment. (Maybe because of her decomposed body?) When the main character drinks water from the tap in her kitchen, she doesn't like the taste and gets sick. This character also has a history of mental disorders like Elisa.
– The little girl in the movie had a red school bag, which is a key factor in the movie. (Red was also the color of the sweatshirt Elisa wore on her last day.)
– The apartment in the movie has an old elevator. Some events in the movie occur in this elevator. The apartment janitor watches the people in the elevator on his CCTV monitor. The CCTV footage from the movie is very similar to Elisa's last video.
– The woman, who's main character of the movie, wears almost the same clothes as Elisa in one particular scene. (Red long sleeve sweater, a white shirt under it and a long black skirt.)
– There's also an American adaptation of this movie named "Dark Water" from 2005. In this remake version, name of the woman's daughter is… guess what… Cecilia!
– Cecilia wears a red jacket. (Elisa's red sweatshirt, again?)
– In the ending of this remake, the body of the little girl who drowned accidentally in the water tank was found days later, just like Elisa's body. The janitor was arrested for negligence.
– Movie aside, there's also another coincidence called LAM-ELISA kit.
Is it a trick of the universe? Maybe something like the ending of Interstellar movie? Or just a series of coincidences? I don't know, man. I think I have to think these are just coincidences, because I have no reason to think the otherwise. The only truth is that unfortunately Elisa died. Rest in peace Lisa.
Man watching that I realized how many people have nothing better to do with their time other than sit on YouTube and talk conspiracy and trying to put something together that isn't there. All I can say is get a life people.
Do know that a girl dropped a newborn baby off that holtel she was on the highest floor the baby had blood all over it when the cops found the newborn it was creepy Imy sister lives in los vages and she is moving cuz of that hotel

Elisa Lam was obviously in the midst of a psychotic episode as evidenced by her bizarre and nonsensical behavior in the elevator footage. There really isn't any mystery here as much as many would like there to be. I've been a mental health nurse for 16 years now with the last 13 specializing in first episode psychosis. If all I saw was that video footage and didn't see or hear anything else about her story I would gave still guessed immediately she was psychotic. I am so passionate about this I could go on and on buy I won't 😁

it's a horror game called ELEVATOR GAME can be played alone or with friends elisa is playing it where there are some rules that must be followed 1. 10 floor building 2. Must have an elevator that can access up to the 10th floor how to play : get into the elevator on the 4th floor go down to the 1st floor, then go up again to the 6th floor. down again to the 1st floor. go up again to the 8th floor, down again to the 1st floor, up again to the 10th floor, down again to the 5th floor formation 4-1-6-1-8-1-10-5 (during the game no other person is allowed to enter the elevator.. if that happens.. then the game is restarted from the beginning) when the 5th floor will enter a woman from another world. we shouldn't see her even talk and greet her if that happens we will be locked forever in the elevator when the 5th floor door closes again press the 1st floor button and exit the elevator door without looking back and the game is over if we have a chance to talk and see that woman.. then the elevator will go up to the 10th floor to another world we can press all buttons to reset. Come out on any floor when the elevator door is open from cctv.. it was clear that elisa had invited in and talked to the woman and it didn't work from the unseen world's
So I’m watching this and my question is this did the maintenance worker just happen upon the one tank she was in, another Big question….was the hatch to the tank closed or open? She certainly didn’t climb back out to shut it so that’s interesting. Such a sad outcome , such strange circumstances.

I hate that hotel
I've watched documentaries about this multiple times and I'm sorry but I blame the family. They knew about her challenges. Seriously if my kid is on medication because of a disorder she have I will not let her go out on vacation without a close family member. Especially that she have a history of skipping her medications.
The ending made me really sad, how beautiful and sad elisa's words were😔

The death metal musician Morbid took a huge hit from this case. He literally had nothign to do with it nor had even known anything about the case, the only thing that made him remotely connected was that his lyrics were to do with death and that he was in the same hotel as Elisa Lam. Web Sleuths ruined his life and his passion for music, almost making him take his own life.
I stayed in this hotel with my family back in 2016 and nothing bad really happened, but I've heard there were a few deaths in this hotel

I just arrived at episode 3 and I can’t watch on. I’m absolutely disappointed by this documentary. This one woman that LITERALLY claimed that the hotel “trapped Elisa Lam like an insect” is just so ignorant and absurd to me. LEAVE THE DRAMATIC STATEMENTS OUT OF DOCUMENARIES LIKE THESE!!! IT’S SO FREAKING IGNORANT TOWARDS ELISA HER FAMILY AND EVERYONE INVOLVED!!! No, she WASN’T trapped by a freakin’ hotel, it’s literally just a hotel. It also didn’t “yell” to her, what the fck??
She was trapped in a system that is not safe though, and there is where we have to start looking to prevent things like these from happening. I mean, with a good social system there maybe wouldn’t even be a skid row and things like this wouldn’t happen in that extent.
I think some of the statements in this documentary are completely (!!) ignorant towards Elisa Lam and also towards all of the suffering people have to deal with at skid row.

PS. No, the hotel is not haunted, but the American social welfare system most definetly is!!!
