The official name of this beer is “American Strong Ale”, but I think it might also be known as “1st Anniversary Strong Ale”. In 2002 Mike and Lisa Hinkley founded Green Flash, and 2 years later Chuck Silva joined the team as head brewmaster. Green Flash is known for their creative takes on heavily hopped Belgian and IPA styles. Their West Coast IPA has not only won awards, but is the namesake for “west coast style” India Pale Ales.Read more
