Pale Ale

One of the most popular members of the ale family.

Pale ale is warm fermented, and brewed with pale malts, which create its lighter color. And by lighter color, that’s in comparison to other darker ales in existence during the 1700’s when it was first brewed.

Many styles of beer are technically pale ales, but unless its an ale with the word “pale” in the title, check our “Other Ales” section.

Blue Heron Pale Ale

Blue Heron Pale Ale is a member of Mendocino Brewing Co’s “The Legend Collection”, along with their flagship Red Tail Ale, and Peregrine Pilsner. This beer was not a legend, but somewhat disappointing. Knowing this company brews a quality product had me expecting more, but Blue Heron did not deliver.
