Brewer’s Notes and Ingredients
With the color of a pilsner and the character of an ale, our blonde settles into the realm of restorative. Endowed with an authentic Kolsch yeast strain for a peck of fruitiness that compliments the blend of noble hops. Lager-like with its delicate dryness, it really is redolent of ales from Koln, Germany.
Hops: Noble
Additional: Authentic Kolsch yeast strain

The Tasting
Arrived in: 22 oz bottle
Served in: Pint glass
Sometimes we like to have appetizers with our beer. We chose Mission Brewery Blonde Ale for its lighter weight, figuring it would pair well with our cheese stuffed jalapeños. It did.
I like darker beer, so Kölsch is not necessarily my favorite variety. They tend to be watery or bland, but Blonde Ale had a sweeter finish, which I enjoyed. It also packed a bit more carbonation than I was expecting, but in a refreshing way.
My initial reaction was “this is very good, for a Kölsch”.
Obviously blonde ales are on the lighter side, but I did notice a little extra hoppiness than you typically find in that style of beer. Which is curious, cause they used Noble hops, known more for their aroma, than bite.
Final Score: 3/5
Mission Brewery Blonde Ale is a can’t miss summertime beer. Some beer drinkers might find some faults with it, but we enjoyed it. We definitely recommend it, and added Blonde Ale to our summer beer drinking list.
