Local brewery creates beer honoring Tony Gwynn
A San Diego brewery (AleSmith) is bringing out a new brew to honor Hall of Famer and former Padre Tony Gwynn. San Diego Pale Ale will made its debut at Padres Beerfest on June 6.
AleSmith worked directly with Tony Gwynn on the recipe, and named it after his highest single season batting average of .394, which he batted in the strike shortened season of 1994.
